Davis Baby

Lauren and Justin have picked out a name.....Parker Wade

I LOVE it! This past weekend, Lauren and Justin got to come stay with us. We had such a great time with them, like always. Saturday, Lauren and I went to see My Sister's Keeper. We knew it was a bad sign when we cried in one of the previews before the movie!! Such a good movie and I'm glad I got to see it with one of my sisters. I wish Sarah could have been there too, but she doesn't cry as much and us. While we went to our "chic flick", the guys went to see Transformers, which they said wasn't great. I could have told them that but at least I didn't have to go see it. All that to say, we had a wonderful weekend and... my nephew has a name :)

Isn't she perfect!! i swear she is smiling.

Jennifer's little Sawyer (isn't he adorable)

Andy and Sawyer
(of coarse Andy is making him fly :) )

For those of you who don't know, Melissa is one of my bestest friends and she had her first baby. Emma Kate is so beautiful!! I was so excited to finally meet her after praying for her for the past nine months. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect baby. Melissa did so well with the birthing process. I am so proud of her. She's my dear friend that was scared to get blood drawn. I think it's safe to say that she concurred some of her greatest fears (can I say epidural). Sam was so cute. He just starred at his little girl the whole time we were there. They are going to be the best parents ever.
While we were in Temple, we got to stay with Jennifer and Sawyer (Michael was out of town, sad). Sawyer is getting so big! He's crawling all over the place. I'm sure the next time we see him he will be walking. Kids grow so fast! Anyways, we also got to see most of our small group friends at some point in the weekend. I even got to go see all of my friends from Scott and White. It made me realize how much I miss that job. On Sunday we got to have lunch with Marla, Nate and the boys (Shep and Owen). Funny story, we (me and Andy) went to pick Shepherd up from the nursery and the workers thought we were his parents. I guess it's Andy's red hair. We would claim those handsome boys any day. We are so excited that they are going to have a little girl, Marley Grace. She's gonna be a tough little thing to be able to keep up with her brothers. They are going to love her. I can't wait to meet her. Here is a picture of the boys (and once again, I stole this picture from Marla's blog. Here's the thing, I'm the worst at remembering to take pictures)

so much to be thankful for

sorry i haven't blogged in a while. life has been crazy like always. i have gotten to see my family a lot recently and i'm LOVING it!! last week i got to see my cousins (Alex, her son Adrean, and Kelly) that live in Vegas. we had such a great time catching up.

we also found out that Lauren and Justing are going to have a BOY!! woo hoo! another nephew! everyone is sooo excited. he's gonna be so spoiled. they are in the process of choosing a name, so stay tuned for that announcement.

a little bad mixed in with the good.... i haven't been able to talk about this for a while but here it goes.... i was in florida on a short vacation with my grandparents, sisters and cousin after labor day. while i was gone, i had Andrew take Elsa to the vet to get declawed. getting her declawed was a big debate because she wasn't real bad but was starting to scratch a few things. Andy said that it was ultimately my decision and that he would support me in whatever i decided. so, i decided to get her declawed, because that's what everyone does who has inside cats. anyways, i was in florida and get a call from Andy that Elsa didn't make it. i guess they gave her too much sedation and she didn't wake up. i was totally shocked, devastated and guilty. obviously, i had no idea this would happen, but still. we were and are still very sad about loosing our sweet little kitty.
everything works together for good to those who love the Lord. we have so much to be thankful for! like.... Andy now has his instrument license!! i am so proud of him. only two more "small" licenses to go and then... we will see what God has planned for our lives.
